Collection: Sonoma Lavender

Sonoma Lavender was created over 20 years ago on a lush farm nestled in the Sonoma Valley. With the Mayacamus Mountains to the east and the Sonoma Mountains to the west, this landscape is part of Northern California’s famous wine country. It’s not just suited to growing grapes, however. It’s also the perfect landscape to farm rich, fragrant lavender.

The original owners of the farm, Rebecca and Gary Rosenberg, started the business on their kitchen table with 50 pounds of lavender from their fields. They had escaped their corporate jobs to get back to the land in this idyllic location, and started the brand by hand-making products in their home. As the demand grew and grew they moved to their nearby barn, and then a workshop.

In time, the ranges grew to include other fragrances other than just lavender. The team explored the properties of other botanicals, leading to new collections like Eucalyptus, OceanAire and Timberlake. Today, the business’s legacy is carried on by the current owners, Scott Maddock and Siza Nyuliwe. It’s now found in some of the best gift shops and spas in the world, but it’s still grounded by the same dedication to quality and connection to the source as when it started.
